Hyphantria cunea

today my professor told me
every cell in our entire body
is destroyed and replaced
every seven years.

how comforting it is to know
one day i will have a body
you will have never touched.

“I am homesick for a place I am not sure even exists. One where my heart is full. My body loved. And my soul understood.”

why is destruction so beautiful

because nature is taking itself back

you go nature

reading about natural restoration and succession right this second in my apes class in my textbook but I got bored and went on tumblr and here it is again
“I think you need to fall in love with the wrong person. I think you need to fight and cry and sweat and bleed and fail. I think you need to have bad relationships and bad breakups. I think you need all of that so that when the right person and the right relationship comes along you can sigh with relief and say, “Ah yes. That is how it’s supposed to feel.””
